A: low-dose atropine

A: 1 -year

3. How often do we recommend follow ups for atropine treatment?

A: 3-6 months follow ups are recommended

4. What are some side effects of atropine that patients can expect?

A: light sensitivity, mild discomfort/stinging upon instillation, and temporarily blurry vision

5. What’s a good lens add on for patients that are noticing light sensitivity during atropine
treatment?

A: transition lenses

6. What is our fee schedule for atropine treatment?

A: $350 annually

7. What does the fee include?

A: the atropine rx, any follow up visits and any additional testing that may be needed

8. What are the 3 main patient responsibilities for our atropine treatment agreement?

A: theparent/guardian must administer the drops daily as prescribed, all follow-up appts must be attended, and parent must understand that results can vary & that compliance is critical to success

9. Can atropine be used in conjunction with stellest or misight lenses?

A: Yes, at doctor’s discretion

10. How young can a patient be for atropine treatment?

A: As young as 4-5 years old up to
approximately 17-18 years
